🍂 November Nights & Bonfire Lights Around Eastfield Glamping Farm

Published

November’s rolled in across the Dales, bringing with it crisp mornings, misty hills, and the smell of bonfires drifting through the air. The fields around Eastfield Glamping Farm are soft underfoot now — the newly planted seed’s just starting to show through, and there’s a fresh, earthy smell that only a Yorkshire autumn can bring.
It’s one of our favourite times of year up here in the Yorkshire Dales – a bit of peace before the Christmas rush, with plenty going on locally if you fancy a bit of sparkle! Whether you’re after fireworks, walks, or a proper pint by the fire, there’s something for everyone.
🎆 Bonfire Night Fun Around the Dales
We’re lucky to be surrounded by some cracking Bonfire Night events near Leyburn this year. Here are a few to look out for:
Coverbridge Bonfire – 1st November
Bedale Fireworks (no bonfire this year) – 1st November
Leyburn Bonfire – 5th November
Akebar Bonfire – 7th November
Masham Bonfire – 8th November
There’s nowt better than wrapping up warm and watching the fireworks light up the Dales skies. But if you’d rather keep it peaceful, don’t worry — although we’re close enough to see a few sparkles in the distance, Eastfield’s far enough away for it to stay quiet and calm. Perfect for those who prefer less noise — especially our four-legged guests! 🐾
Pop open a bottle, sink into the hot tub, and enjoy the views of the Yorkshire countryside all lit up in colour from afar.
🚶♀️ Stretch Your Legs: A Stroll Around Jervaulx Abbey
Just a short drive from the farm, Jervaulx Abbey is a proper gem — especially in autumn. The old ruins look beautiful surrounded by red and gold leaves, and the park’s peaceful paths make for a lovely, easy wander.
Once you’ve blown away the cobwebs, make sure to stop at the Jervaulx Abbey Tea Rooms. The cakes are famous round here for being light, homemade, and always worth the calories! A perfect little afternoon out for couples or families staying with us at Eastfield Glamping Farm.
🍻 Pubs Worth the Walk
You don’t have to go far for a good pint and a roaring fire. Within walking distance of the farm, you’ll find a few proper Yorkshire pubs where you’ll get a warm welcome and a hearty meal:
The Old Horn Inn, Spennithorne – Cosy, friendly, and great for home-cooked grub.
The Cover Bridge Inn – A real local favourite, sat by the river and full of Dales charm.
The Queens Head, Finghall – A cracking country pub with real ales and great food.
They’re all just a stroll away, so you can leave the car behind and enjoy a proper Yorkshire night out.
