February’s a quieter month round here and that’s exactly why we like it. The days are starting to stretch out, the frost still sparkles on a morning, and there’s a calmness to the Dales that you don’t always get later in the year.
At Eastfield Glamping Farm, it’s the perfect time to slow things down a bit. No crowds, no rushing about just fresh air, warm pods and time to yourselves. We’re tucked away just outside Leyburn, right on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, with countryside stretching out in every direction.
Warm Pods & No Faff
February’s still very much “wrap up warm” weather, so it’s a good job our pods are made for it.
Each one’s got:
A proper king-size bed (lie-ins encouraged)
A cosy living space for lazy evenings
A fully equipped kitchenette for brews and easy meals
Your own bathroom with a hot shower always appreciated after a cold walk
Add a hot tub or fire pit, and you’re sorted whatever the weather’s doing.
🌲 A Proper Adventure at Hackfall
If you fancy a walk that feels a bit special, Hackfallis well worth a visit and it’s only a short drive from Eastfield Glamping Farm.
Hackfall’s one of those places that feels properly magical. Ancient woodland, tumbling waterfalls, old follies and stone steps tucked away amongst the trees it’s steeped in history and full of character. No matter how many times you go, there’s always something new to spot.
That said, it’s worth knowing what you’re heading into. The paths are mostly natural woodland trails, with tree roots, rocks and a fair bit of mud in places especially in winter so sturdy boots are a must. There are a few steep climbs, uneven steps and narrow paths along the gorge sides, so it’s not one for flip-flops or rushing about.
If you’re heading out with children or dogs, just take it steady there are some steep drops in places, and it’s definitely a walk where you want to keep a close eye. Dogs are very welcome, though, and there are dog gates alongside the stiles.
There aren’t any cafés or facilities at Hackfall, which honestly adds to the charm it’s all about fresh air, nature and getting properly stuck into the landscape.
It’s a cracking walk if you’re after something a bit adventurous without travelling far.

🍻 Pubs Worth the Walk (or a Short Drive)
After all that fresh air, you’ll have earned a pint and we’re lucky to be surrounded by some proper Yorkshire pubs.
A few local favourites include:
The Old Horn Inn – Friendly, cosy and great for home-cooked grub
The Cover Bridge Inn – A real Dales classic, right by the river
The Queens Head – Cracking ales and hearty food
The Wyvill Arms – A firm favourite with locals, known for good food and a warm welcome
Whether you’re after a full meal or just a quiet pint by the fire, you won’t be stuck for choice.
Hot Tubs, Fire Pits & Quiet Nights In
February evenings are made for staying in. Sink into your private hot tub while the air’s cold and the stars come out, light the fire pit, and enjoy the peace and quiet.
Whether you’re here for Valentine’s, a birthday treat, or just because you fancy it, it’s a lovely way to spend a few winter nights.
A Reet Nice Way to Spend February
If you’re after somewhere calm, cosy and welcoming, February at Eastfield Glamping Farm is hard to beat. It’s the sort of break where you come home feeling rested not like you need another holiday.
A bit of fresh air, good food, warm pods and proper Yorkshire countryside. That’ll do nicely.
