Discover The Cover Bridge Inn

If you're staying at Eastfield Glamping Farm, you're in for a real treat! Nestled in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, The Cover Bridge Inn is a traditional country pub that promises a warm welcome, hearty food, and excellent local ales. Just a short drive from our farm, it’s the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring the beautiful countryside.

Situated at the start, middle, and end of some fabulous walks along the River Cover and River Ure, The Cover Bridge Inn is a fantastic stop-off point for walkers looking to rest their legs and enjoy a refreshing drink in stunning surroundings.

A Historic Gem in the Yorkshire Dales

The Cover Bridge Inn is no ordinary pub; it’s a place steeped in history. Once known as the Forresters Arms and previously the Masons Arms, this charming coaching inn has been a stopping point for weary travellers for centuries. Situated along the River Cover, just upstream from the confluence with the River Ure, it stands where an ancient road once crossed the river, linking Richmond in the north to Wharfedale via Coverdale.

The heart of the pub, a 'T'-shaped building, dates back to around 1670, a time when the increasing trade along the Drover’s route through Coverdale fuelled its development. Over the years, The Cover Bridge Inn has retained its rustic charm, offering an authentic and welcoming atmosphere.
